I needed this lighter because not for smoking but I'm calling my self experimental man (or scientific for mad scientist or whatever) and I like to burn things a lot (you guys will not going to believe that burning things can be really fun if you can find the well object to burn..)
Don't forget to buy Zippo Fuel and Flints too. My type of guy who just click and click to have fire just for fun needs flints well.
This seems to be cheapest lighter that I can find and function was much more worth than its price (as far as I see now, you know I don't need WWII lighter to burn something)
And just for tip for those who wants to play with this lighter
If you want to close the top like FANCY AND COOL WAY (You know, don't close the top by hand but swinging like FLIPING)
HOLD THE TOP AND SWING THE BODY, NOT HOLDING THE BODY AND SWING THE TOP
It is because TOP IS VERY LIGHT (I think you know the why by now)
ALSO, SAME WAY, IF YOU WANT TO OPEN BY COOL WAY, HOLD TOP AND SWING THE BODY.
And This CAN be important, so listen.
SITUATION 1 : OH, I THINK UN-SCREW THIS SCREW AT BOTTOM OF BODY AND POUR MY FUEL IS RIGHT WAY!
ANSWER : NO, YOU THAT IS WHERE YOU PUT LITTLE VERY TINY FLINT, DON'T POUR THE FUEL OR YOU WILL MESS YOUR HELL OF DAY (If you un-screw the screw and just hit the top several times, flint will come out, just remember, I told you IT IS VERY TINY LIKE LITTLE ANT, don't think it is size of finger or something, I suggest you guys to disect the lighter, you will figure out how Zippo lighter works)
SITUATION 2 : WHERE THE HELL IS PLACE TO POUR FUEL? I ONLY SEE THE COTTON AT BOTTOM. OH, I THINK I HAVE TO POUR FUEL AT TOP!
(cotton is below the sponge that said 'PILL TO FILL' thing. Just in case you never knew)
ANSWER : THAT WOULD BE THE QUICKEST WAY TO MESS YOUR DAY, AND I WORRY THAT YOU MIGHT BE IN PRISON FOR ARSON.
I THINK YOU WOULD BE SURPRISE (whether or not, I surprised so...) YOU POUR YOUR FUEL INTO THAT COTTON AND LET IT GET WET
How do you know you well fed lighter the fuel? There will be one or two drop of fuel at top (were fire suppose to come out) if you well fed (I BELIEVE YOU FED LIGHTER WITH UP-SIDE-DOWN POSITION OR IF YOU DID THAT WAY THEN I BELIEVE GRAVITY IS TOWARD SKY OR SOMETHING, HOPEFULLY)
SITUATION 3 : OH MY GOD, MY LIGHTER WICK IS RUNNED OUT, I MUST PUT IT IN THE TRASH NOW
ANSWER : NO ZIPPO CAN USE FOR LIFE TIME (ACTUALLY ZIPPO GUARANTEES YOU THE LIGHT FOR LIFE TIME), IF YOU THINK WICK HAS BEEN RUN OUT (FUEL CHECK DONE, FLINT WORK, AND NOT FIRE HAS TO BE WICK), THEN JUST USE PINCETTE AND PULL OUT THE WICK FOR SUITABLE AND SENSIBLE AMOUT AND CUT OUT THE OLD WICK
I'm sure you can use it for life time without buying new wick, but Zippo is selling 'Zippo wick' too.
Changing wick of Zippo lighter is not that hard too.
Just un-screw the screw, remove 'PILL TO FILL' sponge, remove fuel cottons (It is not just bunch of cottons, it is just crushed in, cottons are like 5 pieces, and I suggest you to remember the sequence of cottons, you know, it is not new lighter at that time of moment, and you don't want to mess your fuel cotton look little WHATEVER shape)
and you will see the wick that is tangled at that the flint placement pipe (It doesn't really matter how it looks, it is ok to put the wick in any shape you want, but it will be matter the shape of wick at where the fire comes out, you know, you don't want to mass up the wick where fire comes out to be like shape of cobra or horse dung)
Just use your sensitive brain and common sense to place the wick and re-crush in the cottons and re-put the 'PILL TO FILL' sponge back, and re-screw the flint spring thing and it is good to go again
I THINK I SOLVED ALL QUESTIONS now, JUST REMEMBER, LIFE TIME GUARANTEE AND YOU JUST CALL THEM AND QUEST THEM TO FIX, THEY WILL DO IT FOR FREE (OF COURSE YOU NEED TO BUY LITTLE POSTAGE-STAMP IN ORDER TO SEND, OR JUST WALK TO CLOSE ZIPPO SHOP, AND THEY WILL NOT CHARGE YOU A CENT FOR IT AND THEY WILL POST BACK TO YOU, OF COURSE FOR FREE)
Lab-quality borosilicate glass is strong, thermal, and lightweight
Two clear layers create illusion that liquid is suspended within
Winner of the prestigious European IF Design Award
Mouth blown; dishwasher- and microwave-safe
Drawing on modern technology and innovative design, Bodum's Canteen collection puts a new twist on everyday drinkware. The walls of each vessel are hand blown with two layers of clear glass, creating an optical illusion that the liquid is suspended inside. Cut in slightly tapered, clean lines, they have an almost futuristic appeal that emphasizes the relationship of form and function.
This set of two double wall cooler/beer glasses serves anything from chilled lagers to hot cider. Crafted of borosilicate glass, which is also used to make scientific lab equipment, the pair is exceptionally strong, lightweight, and thermal. The two-layer construction also resists heat and prevents condensation, so no matter what temperature the beverage is, the glasses remain comfortable to hold and safe for any tabletop. Winner of the prestigious European IF Design Award, this 7-ounce, scratch-resistant set goes safely into the dishwasher and microwave. Mix and match Canteen with the Pavina and Assam lines to stock the bar or dining table with a variety of fun shapes. --Kara Karll
Editor's Note: Because the glasses are mouth blown, each one may have slight variations in height, thickness, and weight. Bodum recommends using care when placing ice into the glass to avoid fracturing the inner layer. Do not use metal spoons or place the glass into a crowded dishwasher.
Product Description Winner of the European iF Design Award, these highball glasses come in a set of two. Each holds 12-ounces. The double-walled design helps insulate both hot and cold beverages.
Selling on eBay is a terrific way to start up your first business. That’s because eBay provides you with a well-established framework in which to operate. There are rules that sellers and buyers alike have to follow, and an elaborate system of feedback that helps keep people honest. Once you get used to buying and selling on eBay, the move to running an online business is not that dramatic. It’s probably easiest to start out selling a limited number of items each month before you consider trying to handle the 50, 100, or even 200 items a week that some busy sellers put online.
Selling on eBay Part-Time You don’t have to sell on eBay as your full-time “day job” in order to generate a steady income. Far from it: one of the busiest sellers I know, Bob Kopczynski (eBay User ID: maxwellstreetmarket) has a full-time job. His wife and various relatives and neighbors help him put 20 to 30 items up for sale each day. Chad Gibbons (eBay User ID: boomer1967) works on eBay about ten hours a week. Despite ongoing health problems, he manages to put 100 to 200 sales online each week for himself and several individuals whose items he sells on consignment.
Selling on eBay Full-Time Few things are as rewarding—and as exhausting—as working on your own full-time from home. I know whereof I speak. I worked in an office for many years and dreamed of being able to stay at home and raise my children while writing. When I was able to make the move to being a full-time freelancer, that’s when the hard work really began. The moment you make the decision to support yourself full-time, you’ve got to be prepared for long hours. It’s the same with selling on eBay. When it becomes a full-time business, you’ve got to develop a schedule; the things that were simply an enjoyable hobby before, like scouring garage sales and flea markets, become work. You might develop a schedule like the one in Table 1-1. (It starts on Thursday because that’s when most garage and estate sales start.) At the same time, it’s hardly all work and no play. You’ve also got to be prepared for freedom—for being able to run your own schedule, work when you want, and spend time with your family or friends when you want. You can sleep until 10 A.M. and work from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. if you want. You can accompany your kids on field trips or hit the golf course in the morning and work on getting your sales online in the afternoon.
The European version of Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) console will not play as many old games as American and Japanese models, Sony has announced.
Gamers who already own PlayStation 2 (PS2) and PlayStation (PS) games may find they will not work on the long-awaited, new console.
The European PS3 has a different design to the Japanese and American consoles, which went on sale in November.
The PS3 is due to go sale in Europe on 23 March.
The console was supposed to be "backwards compatible", meaning all older PS and PS2 games should work on the new console.
But the European PS3 utilises a new combination of hardware and software emulation in which software takes over some of the functionality that was previously taken care of by dedicated chips.
This means that while European gamers will be able to play a wide range of original PlayStation titles on the PS3, there will be a limited number of PS2 games that will be compatible with the new console.
Downloadable updates
"Rather than concentrate on PS2 backwards compatibility, in the future company resources will be increasingly focused on developing new games and entertainment features exclusively for PS3," Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) said in a statement.
Some additional PS2 games will become compatible on the PS3 through firmware updates made available for download on the PlayStation website.
The first such update is scheduled to be released on 23 March, the same day as PS3 is launched in Europe.
European gamers will have to wait until then to find out what PS2 games will run on the PS3, as Sony intends to announce which games are compatible on launch day.
"We're disappointed not to be able to deliver what we originally aspired to, which was full backwards compatibility," a Sony spokesman told the BBC News website.
"It's changing on an almost daily basis as to how many games will be supported," said David Wilson of SCEE, but there will be regular firmware updates."
Japanese PS3 consoles also faced compatibility issues following last year's launch, with Sony acknowledging audio and graphics problems with some older titles.
Around one million PS3 units will be made available for the European launch at a price of £425 (599 euros) per console.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The next time you walk by a shop window, take a glance at your reflection. How much do you swing your arms? Is the weight of your bag causing you to hunch over? Do you still have a bit of that 1970s disco strut left?
Look around — You might not be the only one watching. The never-blinking surveillance cameras, rapidly becoming a part of daily life in public and even private places, may be sizing you up as well. And they may soon get a lot smarter.
Researchers and security companies are developing cameras that not only watch the world but also interpret what they see. Soon, some cameras may be able to find unattended bags at airports, guess your height or analyze the way you walk to see if you are hiding something.
Most of the cameras widely used today are used as forensic tools to identify crooks after-the-fact. (Think grainy video on local TV news of convenience store robberies gone wrong.) But the latest breed, known as "intelligent video," could transform cameras from passive observers to eyes with brains, able to detect suspicious behavior and potentially prevent crime before it occurs.
Surveillance cameras are common in many cities, monitoring tough street corners to deter crime, watching over sensitive government buildings and even catching speeders. Cameras are on public buses and in train stations, building lobbies, schools and stores. Most feed video to central control rooms, where they are monitored by security staff.
The innovations could mean fewer people would be needed to watch what they record, and make it easier to install more in public places and private homes.
"Law enforcement people in this country are realizing they can use video surveillance to be in a lot of places at one time," said Roy Bordes, who runs an Orlando, Fla.-based security consulting company. He also is a council vice president with ASIS International, a Washington-based organization for security officials.
The advancements have already been put to work. For example, cameras in Chicago and Washington can detect gunshots and alert police. Baltimore installed cameras that can play a recorded message and snap pictures of graffiti sprayers or illegal dumpers.
In the commercial market, the gaming industry uses camera systems that can detect facial features, according to Bordes. Casinos use their vast banks of security cameras to hunt cheating gamblers who have been flagged before.
In London, one of the largest users of surveillance, cameras provided key photos of the men who bombed the underground system in July 2005 and four more who failed in a second attempt just days later. But the cameras were only able to help with the investigation, not prevent the attacks.
Companies that make the latest cameras say the systems, if used broadly, could make video surveillance much more powerful. Cameras could monitor airports and ports, help secure homes and watch over vast borders to catch people crossing illegally.
Intelligent surveillance uses computer algorithms to interpret what a camera records. The system can be programmed to look for particular things, like an unattended bag or people walking somewhere they don't belong.
"If you think of the camera as your eye, we are using computer programs as your brain," said Patty Gillespie, branch chief for image processing at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, Md. Today, the military funds much of the smart-surveillance research.
At the University of Maryland, engineering professor Rama Chellappa and a team of graduate students have worked on systems that can identify a person's unique gait or analyze the way someone walks to determine if they are a threat.
A camera trained to look for people on a watch list, for example, could combine their unique walk with facial-recognition tools to make an identification. A person carrying a heavy load under a jacket would walk differently than someone unencumbered — which could help identify a person hiding a weapon. The system could even estimate someone's height.
With two cameras and a laptop computer set up in a conference room, Chellappa and a team of graduate students recently demonstrated how intelligent surveillance works.
A student walked into the middle of the room, dropped a laptop case, then walked away. On the laptop screen, a green box popped up around him as he moved into view, then a second focused on the case when it was dropped. After a few seconds, the box around the case went red, signaling an alert.
In another video, a car pulled into a parking lot and the driver got out, a box springing up around him. It moved with the driver as he went from car to car, looking in the windows instead of heading into the building.
In both cases, the camera knew what was normal — the layout of the room with the suspicious bag and the location of the office door and parking spots in the parking lot. Alerts were triggered when the unknown bag was added and when the driver didn't go directly into the building after parking his car.
Similar technology is currently in use by Marines in Iraq and by the subway system in Barcelona, according to ObjectVideo, a Reston, Va., firm that makes surveillance software.
ObjectVideo uses a "tripwire system" that allows users to set up virtual perimeters that are monitored by the cameras. If someone crosses that perimeter, the system picks it up, sends out an alert, and security staff can determine if there is a threat.
Company spokesman Edward Troha predicts the technology, currently designed primarily to protect borders, ports and other infrastructure, could be adapted to help prevent retail theft or guard private homes.
The Jacksonville Port Authority uses ObjectVideo software as part of its security measures to watch the perimeter of the Florida port that handles 8.7 million tons of cargo and thousands of cruise ship passengers each year. The surveillance system sends real-time video from anywhere at the port of possible intruders to patrol cars.
Still, industry officials say the technology needs to improve before it can be widely used. There are liability issues, such as if someone is wrongly tagged as a threat at an airport and misses a flight, said Bordes. Troha warns humans are still essential to intelligent video, to tell, for example, if a person in a restricted area is a danger or just lost.
And the cameras can only see so much — they can't stop some threats, like a bomber with explosives in a backpack. They can't see what you are wearing under your jacket — yet.
"That is an eventual goal, but we're not there yet," said Chellappa.
We used these binoculars at an NFL game today. They are very compact but feel solid. One negative was a large paper sticker that was applied across the binoculars and left a sticky residue that I was finally able to remove with rubbing alcohol on a cloth. I was concerned about using anything that might mar the finish or otherwise damage the product.
The 21 means the opening is likely too small for anything but day games but these still are a great value for the price.
Well its not bad at all! I was sure it would be a piece of junk, coming as a promotion with the Leatherman tools, but it focuses nicely, has a diopter for getting both eyes focused, and is clear.
The focus mechanism is OK. I was able to pretty easily get that single round view you get when looking through a pair of binoculars.

This major update to the popular 7105t brings the BlackBerry experience to a whole new level. The BlackBerry 8100 Pearl is not only thinner and lighter, it also sports a memory card slot, a music player, and voice dialing. Other features, such as Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE high-speed data, and the popular SureType keypad make this a complete mobile office solution. And of course, legendary BlackBerry push email as well as the fabulous T-Mobile myFaves calling program are fully supported on the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl.
The SureType keypad makes the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl's diminutive size possible.
Learn more about the handheld. You can also see it in 3D. Design Like the BlackBerry 7105t, the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl is a departure from the form factor of previous BlackBerry devices. This BlackBerry handset is far more phone-like, and RIM's engineers have managed to fit a QWERTY keyboard onto the handset's slim frame. Each button on the keyboard shares two letters and the unit automatically determines which letter is the intended one based on what it predicts you are trying to spell. This unique predictive text technology, known as SureType, makes the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl's handset's diminutive size possible. SureType also learns the words you use most often, further enhancing your typing speed.
The BlackBerry 8100 Pearl sports a large 240 x 260 screen that supports over 65,000 colors--plenty of real estate to view your emails, Web browser content, messaging sessions, and attachments. The venerable BlackBerry trackwheel has been replaced on this model with an innovative four-way trackball placed below the screen. On the rear of the handheld, you'll find a 1.3-megapixel camera lens, while the handheld's microSD memory card slot is located inside the device, behind the battery. There's also a standard 2.5mm headset jack that can be used with the included headset, as well as a mini-USB port for data connectivity.
Calling Features All the calling capabilities folks have come to expect in a wireless phone are present in the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl. The handset's speakerphone makes it easy to use the device hands-free, or if you prefer, you can use a wireless headset via the phone's built-in Bluetooth capability. A vibrating alert, speed dial, and a contacts list/address book (limited only by the unit's 64 MB of internal memory) are also included. Any of the phone's 32 included polyphonic ringtones can be used to create caller-specific ringers, so you can know who's calling without having to look at the handset. More ringtones are available from T-Mobile's t-zones mobile Web service. A new feature, speaker independent voice dialing, allows you to call contacts with the sound of your voice. No prior voice training is required; you can just say a contact's name to call them.
This phone is fully compatible with T-Mobile's myFaves service, which allows you to call up to five of your most common contacts--on any network--without using any of your minutes. Learn more about myFaves.
Available only from T-Mobile, the myFaves experience emphasizes people first rather than technology. This unlimited calling feature enables people to concentrate on their conversations, thereby eliminating concerns over which network their friends or family use. myFaves empowers users to have five photos or icons on their myFaves-enabled device's home screen that illustrate the five people who they call the most. Then, with a simple click, the user has unlimited nationwide calling to that designated person--to any number in the U.S., even landlines. The myFaves phone interface also enables the user to access a straightforward communications menu in just one click for effortless text and multimedia messaging (additional messaging charges apply).
Messaging, Internet, and Tools While the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl is a different kind of BlackBerry device, it still delivers the legendary BlackBerry email experience. With BlackBerry service plans from T-Mobile, you can receive emails instantaneously from up to 10 email accounts (personal and enterprise). And with BlackBerry push technology, you don't need to retrieve your email. BlackBerry devices are designed to remain on and continuously connected to the wireless network, allowing you to be discreetly notified as new email arrives. Support is also built-in for viewing email attachments (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, and PDF formats).
If your company has a BlackBerry Enterprise Server installed, you can take advantage of the power of wireless calendar synchronization. Your calendar events are exchanged wirelessly and automatically so that your desktop calendar and BlackBerry handheld calendar are synchronized. All your Outlook meeting requests, changes, and updates are instantaneously synchronized with your desktop. Make meeting requests, invite new attendees, and more, all on your BlackBerry 8100 Pearl. Users without BlackBerry Enterprise Server support can manually sync with their desktop calendars and contacts via Bluetooth or USB using the included BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Use the BlackBerry 8100 handset's Web browser to access the Internet from the palm of your hand. Browse Web sites, get up-to-date stock quotes, read the latest news, check weather reports, and more--all at fast speeds, thanks to support for T-Mobile's EDGE high speed data network. Instant messaging and wireless messaging are also built into the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl. The handheld supports AOL, Yahoo, and ICQ instant messaging, as well as SMS text messaging. MMS messages can be received and forwarded.
The BlackBerry 8100 Pearl ships with a number of tools, including a calculator, a calendar, an alarm, and a to-do list.
Imaging and Entertainment The BlackBerry 8100 Pearl really kicks the fun up a notch with the inclusion of a 1.3-megapixel camera that features an LED flash and white balance controls. How about some music? The handheld's music player supports playback of your tunes in MP3, AAC, AAC+, and eAAC+ formats. The handheld is also compatible with Java application and game downloads (available via the t-zones service).
Vital Statistics The BlackBerry 8100 Pearl weighs 3.16 ounces and measures 4.2 x 2.00 x 0.57 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 3.5 hours of digital talk time and up to 360 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/900/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies. The phone comes with a one-year limited warranty.
Product Description You'll be amazed at the small, sleek form factor of the BlackBerry Pearl. It's like no other BlackBerry. But it's more than just a new look. This BlackBerry delivers everything its predecessors delivered and a whole lot more. The BlackBerry Pearl offers new features never before seen in a BlackBerry like, a 1.3 mega pixel camera, voice recognition, and an MP3 player to name a few. Try it for a few hours and you are hooked!
THOSE who have been waiting for Motorola to make slider phones, here's some good news. Your wait has just ended. Its latest offering, the MotoRizr Z3 (pronounced Riser), is a slider phone for enthusiasts of this form factor.
Holding the phone in hand, and using the thumb to push open the phone, a user will notice how smooth this phone slides open and shut. Thanks to the use of a double spring slider mechanism, the phone easily springs into the open position when a user's thumb is moved away.
More about form factor, if you're used to the sleek form factor of the MotoRazr series, don't expect the same slim body in this slider model.
As with any other slider phones, a little depth is something that is expected in a slider phone, unless it's been manufactured to made to be thinnest slider. This Rizr has a depth of 1 06mm, a not-too-bulky handset to carry around. It fits easily into a lady's palm and would fit in well in a small handbag.
Moving on, an interesting feature of this new phone is the incorporation of a good quality two-mega pixel digiital camera. As cameras have become an important feature in handphones and image quality becomes an immportant issue, installing a camera with anything less than two-mega pixels simply won't do anymore. Thus this camera.
What's better about this camera is, when snapping in low-light settings, the high-intensity light-emitting diode camera light can be turned on to make the pictures turn out better. Trying it out in a back-lit environment, the picture we snapped with the camera light turned on definitely improved the picture quality.
To operate the camera is also simple as there's a dedicated shutter button on the side of the phone just for this function. With the slider closed, hold the phone in horizontal position, aim and shoot and press the camera key to see a full-screen camera viewfinder. Users have a choice of taking MPEG4 pictures in four sizes, namely two megapixels, 1.3 megapixels, 640 by 80 pixels, and 320 by 240 pixels. Among the features in taking photos are a selfftimer, six colour effects, five lighting choices, an 8X zoom, as well as five types of shutter sounds.
The phone takes standard landdscape format when the slider is closed. Photos can be taken at up to 1200 by 1600 pixel resolution.
This phone also works as an audio player to play and store MP3 music files. With the microSD memory card slot, users can store more songs using the optional removable memory card of up to one gigabyte.
However, users are cautioned that the phone does not play MP3 files that have a bit rate higher than 128 kilobits per second. If you do try to download or play one of these files, your phone might show you an error or ask you to delete the file.
In addition to MP3, the phone also supports AC, AAC+, and eAAC+ formats. The memory slot can also be used to store photos in a TransFlash card.
Looking at the keypad, the design is rather similar to that found on the Razr line of handsets. So don't expect anything extraordinary here, but as a MotoRazr user, this reviewer feels that this new phone's keypad seems to be better laid out.
Those keen on games will find two new Java titles in the phone - BlockBreaker Deluxe and Platinum Sudoku.
Want to personalise the new phone? Then there's a selection of wallpaper, screensavers, menu styles, and colour skins to choose from. For more options or ringtones, these can be downloaded via the WAP 2.0 wireless Web browser.
Basically, this new phone regular features found on man, phones and doesn't have any highlight that can make it stand other than its stylish design. It's a good midrange phone for slider lovers.

About Exercise Bikes Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out.
The term recumbent literally means "lying down." Exercising in a recumbent or reclining position allows the user to have full ergonomic back support, without causing strain on the arms, neck and shoulders, all of which can be common effects of using an upright bicycle. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

About Treadmills Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.
From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.
While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

So, it's finally happenedd someone's gone and released an online-only first person shooter for a console. Although it's arguable that Unreal Championship already broke that barrier over a year ago, it at least had a structured (albeit pointless) single-player component that gave the solo gamer a sense of progression. The same can't be said for Counter-Strike, where the singleeplayer game - such as it is - consists entirely of straightforward bot matches of the type that PC gamers usually use to practice for their online confrontations. This really is a game made exclusively for the Live Enabled.
GRAPHICAL FACELIFT
As it stands, Counter-Strike is still one of the tightest and most enjoyable multiplayer games ever made and the xbox version is almost as good as its PC forefather in this regard. It's worth noting that the interface actually feels completely natural and intuitive on
an Xbox control-pad. It's essentially the same setup standardised by Halo: left stick moves, right stick looks and right trigger shoots. Our only complaint is that it isn't possible to assign crouch to a thumbstick button because having it on any of the face buttons feels clumsy and a bit uncomfortable. It's a minor oversight, granted, but one that's sure to irritate Counter-Strike gamers accustomed to complete customisation.
This new version comes replete with a complete graphical facelift. Unfortunately, the engine powering this version of Counter-Strike appears to be slightly on the spartan side of things. The models and textures generally look better than their PC counterparts, but they're hardly what we'd call xbox quality graphics. Perhaps this minimalist approach was necessary to maintain the smooth and pleasingly consistent framerate we noticed, but that just bespeaks of an engine that hasn't been optimised for the hardware it's running on. Honestly, some of the maps looks just as sparse and dull as the originals they're based on.
Let's just make one thing very clear about Counter-Strike on the xbox: it is a multiplayer game only. While the single-player bots are reasonably intelligent and good fun to muck around with for a while, they're definitely not impressive enough to keep you interested for more than a week or so. However, Live enabled gamers with a passion for solid shooter fun have absolutely no reason to pass this up. Finding a game tends to be a little bit difficult at the moment, but the community currently playing is friendly and bereft of the elitism that plagues PC based CS servers.
Counter-Strike is definitely a step in a new direction for console gaming - whether or not it was step in the right direction, however, remains to be seen.

Announcing the Official Launch Of Blog Daddyyankeegasoline.blogspot.com
Simple Internet which already has quite an impressive array of online assets such as hghlook.com, weightlosshd.com and donomarlive.blogspot.com has announced the official launch of their Daddy Yankee weblog or “blog.” The company believes that the blog will be an excellent complement to its innovative motivated die hard fans lead subscription service.
The blog will feature a running commentary by Simple Internet Managing Director, John Tiesto, in addition to providing news and informative articles from entertainment world and other entertainment professionals from around the country.
“We recognize that most music rapper today fail in communicating directly with their fans and as we’re always striving to be a groundbreaking company we’ve decided to take a different tact with our blog. That’s why we’re integrating the conventional news and informational website featuring notable contributors with the relatively new commercial application of a blog, which is typically more personal and offers a more direct line of communication with our rapper fans. I think they’ll appreciate it,” said the Managing Director.
In addition to regular contributions by John Tiesto the company plans on offering a great latest news for Daddy Yankee section. The blog already features a public discussion forum, a growing Daddy Yankee terms glossary and a news and information section which consolidates mainstream news articles from the many online entertainment news offerings.
Certificate of Deposit rates are an investment opportunity to generate long-term stable profits for non-risk takers. CDs are usually fixed rate which means user has to agree on the interest rates with the bank before investing the amount with them and the rate of CD remains constant until CD matures.
The best savings accounts are the ones that provide good bank interest rates. CDs are safe investments compared to other relative investment opportunities like stocks, off shore investment, mutual funds etc. Banking institutions offer low stable plans with very low risk. One important thing about CDs is that you can't withdraw your money/investment before your CD matures. If you do so bank charges you with a penalty as per rules of that bank. So that could be the amount deducted from your profit.
The best money market rates generate high profits with a little more risk then small term CD plan. Investment with smaller banks give you the opportunity to generate high profit because of the policy of such banks as they want to attract more and more people towards them. But one should be careful with such investments as any thing can happen.
You are given the choice at the time of your CD rates maturity that you can either reinvest the amount or just withdraw money and go home. Reinvesting is something that gives more benefits with a little high risk. One can get maximum profits with reinvesting after maturity. If you don't take any action at the time of maturity of your CD then bank automatically invest your amount in the same CD plan so you have to be a little more careful in your decisions what to do? If you plan to keep on reinvesting till you reach maximum profit that could be a good move but you should be aware of the facts and CD rates so that you don't lose any money.

Boost your productivity with the first Apple Mac Pro (model MA356LL/A) desktop PC, which is the first Apple desktop to be powered by the 64-bit dual-core Intel Xeon processor. But the Mac Pro offers even more power by combining two dual-core 2.66 GHz Xeon processors, creating an unbelievably powerful quad-core workstation that can handle even the more intensive graphics rendering. Its redesigned industrial-style enclosure offers improved functionality with a cable-free installation process and massive upgrade ability--up to 16 GB of 667 MHz RAM and four hard drive bays for up to 2 TB (that's terabytes) of storage under the hood. And while it comes standard with a 16x SuperDrive (compatible with burning DVD±R/RW and CD-R/RW discs), you can also add a second writing SuperDrive.
Additionally, the Mac Pro MA356LL/A features a 250 GB hard drive, 1 GB of installed RAM, and the NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics card with 256 MB of video RAM, both FireWire 400 and 800 slots, optical digital audio input and output, Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, and additional software titles--iLife 06, OmniOutliner, iWork 06 (trial), FileMaker Pro 8.5 (trial). The Mac Pro also includes a DVI to VGA adapter and an Apple keyboard and Mighty Mouse.
Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger Mac OS X Tiger in combination with the 64-bit Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor enables you to run applications that address massive amounts of memory. Mac OS X also features amazing Spotlight search technology, handy Dashboard widgets and hundreds more features and it includes the following system applications:
* Safari 2 * Mail 2 * Address Book 4 * iChat AV 3 * iCal 2 * Font Book 2 * DVD Player 4.5 * Preview 3 * Xcode 2
Processor Based on Intel's next-generation Core micro-architecture, the two 2.66 GHz 64-bit dual-core Intel Xeon processors combine both high performance and power efficiency. Augmenting the speed delivered by the processors, the system architecture features 1.33 GHz dual independent front-side buses that maximize the performance of the dual-core, dual-processor system and deliver maximum processor bandwidth of up to 21.3 GB/s. It also offers an enhanced SSE3 vector engine. Capable of delivering 128-bit vector computations in a single cycle, the SSE3 vector engine accelerates data manipulation by simultaneously applying a single instruction to multiple data--ideal for transforming large sets of data, such as applying a filter to an image or rendering a video effect.
Because Intel designed this dual-core Xeon to be more efficient, it consumes less power than similar workstation-level processors, so your system fans don't have to work as hard to keep them cool. Working with Mac OS X Tiger, it also continues the tradition of enabling 64-bit computation. Ideal for scientific applications, the 64-bit Intel Xeon processors can express the extreme precision needed for floating-point mathematics and to express integers up to 18 billion billion.
Hard Drive The 250 GB Serial-ATA hard drive is plenty big and fast (with a transfer rate of 3 GB per second) for most home users, but the Mac Pro provides four SATA hard drive bays, each on its own independent channel. This enables you to load it up with four 500 GB hard drives for up to 2 TB of data storage. Using Mac OS X, you can stripe two, three, or all four of those drives in a RAID 0 array to increase performance and create a massive volume for video editing; or create a RAID 1 array for instant backups--as you work--of photos or other digital media.
Memory While this Mac Pro comes loaded with just 1 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 RAM--which is satisfactory--you can easily add up to a total of 16 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 fully-buffered Error-Correcting Code (ECC) memory. And with its 256-bit-wide memory architecture, the Mac Pro offers 2x the width of the memory architecture in the Power Mac G5. It comes with two memory riser cards, each with four fully-buffered DIMM slots--for a total of eight DIMM slots.
Optical Drive If you enjoy having one 16x SuperDrive at your disposal, think how much more productive you could be with two. Imagine backing up your data to two dual-layer DVDs at once. Or exporting Aperture projects to one DVD, while importing music from a CD into your iTunes library. The installed SuperDrive is compatible with writing to DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD+R DL (dual layer), and CD-R/RW media. It will burn DVD-R discs at up to 16x, DVD+R DL at 6x, and CD-R/RWs at up to 24x.
Graphics The NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics card provides excellent all-around performance for creative applications. It comes with one dual-link DVI and one single-link DVI port, allowing you to connect one 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display to the dual-link DVI port and one 20-inch or 23-inch Cinema Display to the single-link DVI port. And thanks to the new double-wide PCI Express graphics slot, the Mac Pro provides room for three additional PCI Express expansion cards--and up to eight simultaneous displays (with compatible optional video card).
Mac Pro Connections
Expansion and Connectivity Install PCI Express cards such as video capture, audio DSP, fibre channel, or additional graphics cards into the three full-length PCI Express expansion slots. A newly designed PCI bracket with captive thumb screws allows tool-less installation and removal of cards. It includes the following connectivity and audio options:
* Two FireWire 800 ports (one on front panel, one on back panel) * Two FireWire 400 ports (one on front panel, one on back panel) * Five USB 2.0 ports (two on front panel, three on back panel) * Two USB 1.1 ports on included keyboard * Front-panel headphone minijack and speaker * Optical digital audio input and output Toslink ports * Analog stereo line-level input and output minijacks
Dimensions It measures 20.1 x 8.1 x 18.7 inches, and weighs 42.4 pounds.
Dimensions Mac Pro MA356LL/A, Apple keyboard, Apple Mighty Mouse, USB keyboard extension cable, DVI-to-VGA adapter, power cord, install/restore DVDs, printed and electronic documentation.

Totally abandoning the idea of subtlety in advertising, Microsoft went all out to let people in Shanghai know that Vista has arrived, splashing "Windows Vista" on the 421-meter tall Jin Mao Tower. Yes, the whole tower.
Here's a handy rule of thumb: By definition, no ad with any dimension that exceeds 1000 ft. is classy. Besides, I doubt that just because a sign is super-big it's going to suddenly compel people in China to pay more than a buck for Windows.
A classic adidas court shoe that has weathered the test of time will, the Forest Hills model features an understated and refined upper grounded by a robust Kelly Green midsole. The shoe is named for the former home of the U.S. Open tennis tournament and was considered a premier court shoe when introduced in 1977. Perforated ventilation was then part of the shoe's progressive feature set, but it now stands as a neat visual feature that fits the sneaker's smart design.
Who says home accessories can't be customised to their surroundings or just to suit your mood? The Birzi lamp is made of silicone and can be twisted every which way to take on a new shape whenever you feel like it. At its full, untouched height, it's just 10" tall with a radius of 5" at the top, and it'll sit nicely on a corner table. But where would be the fun in that? T he lamp is supposed to be damage-resistant, so bend and curl that upper lip all round --- and then bend it again on itself if that's what you feel like.
Birzi is designed for Luceplan, the Italian lighting brand that also originated such nifty devices as the Solar Bud lamp, which is powered by a battery recharged by sunlight. A full charge (5 hours in the sun) gives 13-15 hours of use - perfect for environmentally friendly garden lighting.
Birzi is available for $84 in white, green or orange from Unica Home. The Solar Bud lamp costs $120, also available from Unica Home.
This has got to be the dumbest ban I've ever heard of. State Sen. Carl-"look both ways before crossing the street"-Kruger wants to implement a ban on iPod and cell phone use while crossing streets in major NY cities. So if the bill goes through, you'll be fined $100 for yapping on your mobile (or listening to your MP3 player) while crossing the street. Ok, granted there are a lot of morons out there who don't look where they're heading when they're on the phone (sadly I'm probably guilty of doing that once or twice), but if you're too oblivious to notice a bright yellow cab heading your way while crossing the street, maybe city life just isn't for you. Is this seriously NY's top priority right now?
This year's Super Bowl will be filled with moments of pain and embarrassment -- and not just for the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears as they go head to head.
Madison Avenue has prepared a series of ads for Super Bowl XLI -- airing Sunday night on CBS -- that will likely make audiences cringe or laugh or do both at the same time. Coming from marketers including Anheuser-Busch Cos., Blockbuster Inc. and PepsiCo Inc., the string of ads suggests that comical violence or gross-out scenarios are proving as popular as ever -- if not more so -- as a way to get attention.
One spot, for video-rental company Blockbuster, shows a cute and cuddly rabbit stomping on a mouse (computer-generated). Another, for online job site CareerBuilder.com, features office workers clad in combat outfits made from office supplies brawling over a promotion. Two Ads for Anheuser's Bud Light go even further -- in one, a game of rock, paper, scissors goes painfully awry.
"You go for extremes" on the big game, says Peter Krivkovich, president and chief executive officer of Cramer-Krasselt, the agency behind the CareerBuilder spots. "Remember, you are in the most competitive arena."
While the audience for the game is enormous -- roughly 90 million viewers in the U.S. last year, according to Nielsen Media Research -- many people watch in crowded, party-like settings. What's more, the broadcast carries a total of about 60 spots, costing this year as much as $2.6 million for 30 seconds of airtime. So advertisers go all out to make sure their ad stands out.
Over the years, marketers have adopted other approaches. In 2004, several depended heavily on broadly crude humor -- such as Anheuser-Busch's ads that showed a horse passing gas and a crotch-biting dog. Complaints from viewers and the famous Janet Jackson half-time show debacle prompted advertisers in 2005 to abandon the cheeky approach in favor of playing up nostalgic themes. MasterCard Inc., for example, aired a spot that featured familiar and comforting icons such as the Pillsbury Doughboy, Charlie the Tuna and Mr. Peanut.
This year's Super Bowl will include plenty of ads aiming for laughs, as audiences have come to expect. Another CareerBuilder commercial shows employees running for their lives as a barrage of pencils, used as darts, are shot at them. "Run," screams one of the employees. "They are looking for volunteers for a training seminar!" another character yells in a panic.
Other spots, though, are likely to make viewers squirm more than laugh. A commercial from Mars Inc. shows two mechanics sharing an odd moment while lingering over a Snickers bar -- a long way from some talked-about commercials of the past, such as an EDS ad that showed cowboys herding a group of cats against the backdrop of spectacular prairie scenery.
More famously, Apple Computer's 1984 ad launching the Macintosh showed a dazzling futuristic vision of the world.
The increased emphasis in recent years on shocking viewers reflects "agencies and clients trying to get as much bang for the buck" for commercials that are often expensive to produce and place, says David Baldwin, executive creative director at Havas SA's McKinney + Silver.
Ad for online job site CareerBuilder.com, features office workers, clad in combat gear made from office supplies, brawling over a promotion.
Some think the trend is about something simpler. "People really like to see other people get hurt as long as it's not too serious," says Dale Backus, a 21-year-old amateur filmmaker from Cary, N.C.
A finalist in a contest held by PepsiCo.'s Frito-Lay for members of the public to submit ads for the Super Bowl, Mr. Backus produced a spot that shows a driver distracted by a woman eating a bag of Doritos having a car accident. "We all laugh when people get hurt in goofy and unexpected ways," Mr. Backus adds.
During and after last year's game, one of the most talked-about commercials showed a man demonstrating how his cellphone from Sprint Nextel is a crime deterrent -- by hurling it at the head of his friend, who collapses.
Angie Read, a Sprint Nextel spokeswoman, says the spot's popularity was shown by surveys of Super Bowl viewers conducted by media outlets. It is also one of consumers' favorite Sprint ads in recent memory, she says, citing emails from fans.
Moreover, advertising professors request the ad to show to classes, saying its combination of humor and surprise make it a good example for marketing students to scrutinize.
Some ad executives suggest the cringe tactic carries some risk. Violence or tasteless tactics must be used carefully, says Mr. Baldwin at McKinney + Silver. Since the Super Bowl draws a broad audience that often includes family and children, advertisers must be sensitive not to trip certain sensibilities. "When you live on the edge, sometimes you get cut," adds Mr. Baldwin.
Another pitfall: Such ads may get lots of attention during the big game but may fall short of a lasting marketing victory, says Mike Hughes, president and creative director at Interpublic Group of Cos.' Martin Agency.
Consumers will probably remember the incident that made them cringe more than they will any larger marketing message. Products with a long history and well-known brand name, such as Pepsi or Coca-Cola Co. or Budweiser can get away with the tactic, he says. But smaller advertisers could stumble.
"Every once in a while, these things break through in a way that lasts," says Mr. Hughes, but more often than not, the buzz around the ad is fairly short-lived.
